Today’s letter in our letter of the week series is G. The fun activity emphasizes the letter sound while also giving a visual representation of the letter.
Since beginning this letter of the week series, my daughter and I have had a lot of fun coming up with projects using the letters. I always try and let her pick what she’d like to make, and do my best to make it happen. Talk about a challenge! Try and make a letter F into a freezer or letter D into a dolphin! Sometimes we have to go through several ideas.
Having your child help you come up with learning projects is a great way to get them involved in and excited about education! It’s so easy for us, as parents, to get so caught up in our plans, ideas, and schedule that we forget to step back and let them take the ropes now and then! This is the best way to cultivate creativity!
My daughter decided that today’s letter, G, should be made into grapes! Here’s how we made it!
What to do:
Cut circles out of green and purple construction paper. Cut a letter G and grape leaf out of green construction paper.
Cover the letter G in the circles and add the grape leaf at the top.
